About Viropil Tablet

Viropil Tablet is an antiretroviral medication used for the treatment of HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) infection in adults and children weighing 40 kg or more. It contains a combination of Dolutegravir, Lamivudine, and Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate, which work together to suppress HIV replication and help strengthen the immune system. Dolutegravir belongs to the integrase inhibitor class, while Lamivudine and Tenofovir are nucleoside/nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs) that block enzymes essential for viral multiplication. Although Viropil Tablet effectively controls HIV and reduces the risk of transmission, it does not cure the infection, and HIV-related infections may still occur. Patients should inform their doctor about any history of pancreatitis, lactic acidosis, liver disease, kidney problems, bone disorders, fractures, or chronic hepatitis B before starting treatment. Regular monitoring of blood counts, liver and kidney function, and bone health may be recommended during therapy. Women who are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding should consult their healthcare provider, as breastfeeding is generally not recommended due to the risk of HIV transmission to the baby.
