- Zoledronic Acid Injection is used to treat osteoporosis in postmenopausal women and men at high risk of fractures, prevent skeletal-related complications in patients with bone metastases or bone cancer, and manage tumor-induced hypercalcemia (high blood calcium levels caused by cancer). It works by slowing bone breakdown, increasing bone strength, and reducing the risk of fractures and other bone-related complications. Zoledronic Acid Injection is available as a 4mg or 5mg single-dose vial and is administered as an intravenous (IV) infusion by a healthcare professional after reconstitution. The dosage is determined based on the patient's medical condition, kidney function, and treatment goals, with lower doses recommended for patients with kidney impairment. Common side effects include low calcium and phosphorus levels, headache, flu-like symptoms, fatigue, weakness, drowsiness, chills, bone, joint, and muscle pain, nausea, vomiting, conjunctivitis, and anemia. Injection site reactions such as redness, swelling, bruising, itching, or rash may also occur. Patients should contact their healthcare provider immediately if they experience severe allergic reactions, symptoms of low calcium levels such as muscle cramps or tingling, or persistent or worsening side effects during treatment.

About Zoltero 4mg Injection
Zoltero 4mg Injection contains Zoledronic Acid, a bisphosphonate medication used to treat and prevent a variety of bone disorders. It is indicated for the treatment of tumor-induced hypercalcemia (TIH), a condition in which cancer causes abnormally high calcium levels in the blood, and for the prevention of skeletal-related complications in adults with multiple myeloma or bone metastases from solid tumors when used alongside standard cancer therapy. Zoltero 4mg Injection is also prescribed to treat and prevent osteoporosis in postmenopausal women, osteoporosis in men, glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis, and Paget's disease of bone, helping to strengthen bones, reduce bone loss, and lower the risk of fractures. It works by inhibiting bone resorption, thereby improving bone density and maintaining healthy calcium balance. This medication is administered as an intravenous infusion by a healthcare professional and should not be self-administered. Patients should not use Zoltero 4mg Injection if they are allergic to Zoledronic Acid, other bisphosphonates, or any of its ingredients, or if they are pregnant or breastfeeding. Before starting treatment, patients should inform their doctor about any history of kidney or liver disease, bone disorders, dental problems, jaw pain, swelling, or numbness, as these conditions may require additional monitoring. Zoltero 4mg Injection is not recommended for children and adolescents under 18 years of age. Although it helps manage bone complications associated with cancer, it is not a chemotherapy medication and does not treat or prevent the spread of cancer. Regular monitoring of kidney function, calcium levels, and overall bone health is recommended to ensure safe and effective treatment.
