About Cresp 40mcg Injection

Cresp 40 mcg Injection (PFS) contains darbepoetin alfa, an erythropoiesis-stimulating agent used to treat symptomatic anemia caused by chronic kidney disease (CKD) in adults and children. It works by stimulating red blood cell production, helping improve hemoglobin levels and reduce anemia-related symptoms. Blood tests and blood pressure are regularly monitored during treatment to ensure safe and effective dosing.

Cresp is not recommended in patients with uncontrolled hypertension and should be used with caution in those with liver disease, seizures, sickle cell anemia, or a history of poor response to anemia therapy. Common side effects include increased blood pressure, injection-site pain, skin rash, and allergic reactions. Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding should be only under medical advice, and regular follow-up is essential for safe treatment.
