About Jakavi 15mg Tablet
Jakavi 15mg Tablet contains Ruxolitinib, a targeted kinase inhibitor used to treat certain blood and bone marrow disorders, including myelofibrosis, a rare cancer that disrupts normal blood cell production, and polycythemia vera, a blood cancer characterized by excessive red blood cell production in patients who are resistant to or unable to tolerate hydroxyurea. It is also approved for the treatment of acute and chronic graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) in adults and children aged 12 years and older who have not responded adequately to corticosteroids or other systemic therapies. Ruxolitinib works by blocking abnormal signaling pathways that promote uncontrolled cell growth and inflammation, helping to reduce symptoms, improve blood counts, and enhance quality of life. Patients should not take Jakavi 15mg Tablet if they are allergic to Ruxolitinib or any of its ingredients. Before starting treatment, it is important to inform your healthcare provider about any history of tuberculosis, hepatitis B or C infection, liver disease, kidney disorders, or dialysis treatment. Common side effects may include dizziness, headache, bruising, bleeding, swelling of the face or body, and reduced blood cell counts, which may increase the risk of infections or anemia. Regular blood tests and ongoing medical monitoring are essential during treatment to evaluate treatment response and detect potential side effects early. Jakavi 15mg Tablet is an important treatment option in modern hematology, offering effective management of complex blood cancers and immune-related complications.
