Atazor R Tablet is an antiretroviral medicine containing atazanavir and ritonavir, used in the treatment of HIV-1 infection to reduce the multiplication of the virus and help protect the immune system from further damage. Since the medicine is primarily metabolized in the liver, patients with liver disease require careful monitoring, and regular liver function tests may be advised during treatment. Some individuals may experience reversible increases in bilirubin levels, and in certain cases immune reconstitution syndrome, heart rhythm changes (PR interval prolongation), or pancreatitis may occur, particularly in patients with existing risk factors. The medicine should not be taken if you are allergic to its ingredients, and patients should promptly inform their doctor about any persistent side effects, worsening infections, or unusual symptoms while on therapy.
