About Faslodex 250mg Injection
Faslodex 250mg Injection contains Fulvestrant, an anticancer medication classified as an estrogen receptor antagonist. It is used to treat certain types of hormone receptor-positive breast cancer in postmenopausal women, particularly estrogen receptor-positive breast cancer that is locally advanced or has spread to other parts of the body. Faslodex may be used alone or in combination with other targeted cancer therapies for hormone receptor-positive, HER2-negative advanced or metastatic breast cancer. Fulvestrant works by blocking and reducing the activity of estrogen receptors, helping to slow or stop the growth of cancer cells that depend on estrogen for survival. This medication should not be used by patients who are allergic to Fulvestrant, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have severe liver impairment. Before starting treatment, patients should inform their healthcare provider about any history of liver or kidney disease, bone disorders, bleeding problems, or heart conditions. Common side effects of Faslodex 250mg Injection include injection site pain or inflammation, nausea, headache, fatigue, cough, hot flashes, joint and muscle pain, hair loss, skin rash, and changes in liver enzyme levels. Regular blood tests may be recommended during treatment to monitor liver function and overall health. Women of reproductive potential should use effective contraception during therapy and for two years after the final dose, as the medication may cause harm during pregnancy. Patients should seek immediate medical attention if they experience signs of a serious allergic reaction, such as swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat.
