About Crizalk 200mg Capsule
Crizalk 200mg Capsule contains Crizotinib, a targeted anticancer medication that belongs to the tyrosine kinase inhibitor class and is used to treat anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK)-positive non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) in adults. It is prescribed for patients with locally advanced or metastatic NSCLC, where the cancer has spread beyond the lungs to other parts of the body. Crizotinib works by blocking abnormal ALK proteins that promote the growth and spread of cancer cells, helping to slow disease progression and improve treatment outcomes. Patients should not take Crizalk 200mg Capsule if they are allergic to Crizotinib or any of its ingredients. Before starting treatment, it is important to inform your healthcare provider about any history of kidney disease, liver disorders, heart conditions, stomach problems, abnormal ECG results, low white blood cell counts, vision disturbances, or any medications currently being taken, as these factors may affect treatment safety. Women who are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or suspect pregnancy should consult their doctor immediately, as this medication may harm an unborn baby. Effective non-hormonal contraception is recommended during treatment and for at least 90 days after the last dose, as oral contraceptives may be less effective while taking Crizotinib. This medication may also affect fertility, and patients should discuss family planning concerns with their healthcare provider before beginning therapy. Crizalk 200mg Capsule is not recommended for children and adolescents under 18 years of age. Patients should protect their skin from excessive sun exposure by using sunscreen and protective clothing throughout treatment. Regular monitoring is essential to ensure the safe and effective use of Crizalk 200mg Capsule in the management of ALK-positive lung cancer.
